CHOY LEE FUT MARTIAL ARTS FEDERATION OF AMERICA

Master Ng Fu Hang

Our Sifu is Master Ng Fu Hang, who is also the Head of the American promotion of Chan Family Choy Lee Fut. He started his training under his grandfather, Chan Yiu Chi (3rd Keeper of the Style) when he was six years old. By the time he was old enough to work, he was helping his grandfather teach while improving his own skill. This went on until Chan Yiu Chi's passing in 1965.

In 1970, Master Ng was invited by his uncle, Chan Yiu Wun, to help him set up and teach at his new school in Hong Kong. He accepted the offer and remained there for several years. In 1976, Master Ng decided to move to America with his mother, Chan Kit Fong, and settled in Los Angeles, California. Master Ng was going to leave his kung fu in Hong Kong and concentrate on making a living and a new life for him and his mother.

Everything changed in 1992, when Master Ng's family convinced him to begin teaching and spreading the Family Style of Choy Lee Fut in America. Master Ng began instructing a select group of students in his backyard/driveway right outside China Town in Los Angeles, California. In 1998 he opened a school in Arcadia, California, and continues to teach with the same tradition and integrity as his grandfather, Chan Yiu Chi.
